Bus Eireann

Updated 18/11/2015.On the TravelHub.ie Microsite for your employer: select Bus and then select Bus Eireann as the operator. For tickets within the Dublin Eastern Region, Cork, Limerick, Galway or Waterford your ticket is for the zone, instead of listing your origin and destination. See the Cork and Dublin zone maps below. The Limerick, Galway and Waterford zone includes all the Bus Eireann city services for your city. For stops not covered by the zonal tickets select the Point-to-Point tickets select the ticket for your origin and destination.

Warning: Bus Eireann's information for the Dublin Eastern Region Zonal Tickets says that "You can travel on all Bus Eireann services within the zone’s for which you have purchased your taxsaver product.". This isn't fully accurate. Expressway services for the following stops are not covered by the Bus Eireann Dublin Eastern Region Zone tickets: Arklow, Athlone, Carlow, Carrickmacross, Castleblaney, Enniscorthy, Gorey, Kinnegad, Longford, Monaghan, Portlaoise, Tullow, Thomastown and Wexford. For these stops you will need to order a Point to Point ticket from the stop to Dublin.

The only combination tickets with other operators which are available are as follows. For other combinations you will need to order two separate tickets.

  • 'CIE All Services (Irish Rail, Dublin Bus & Bus Eireann)' and 'Irish Rail & Bus Eireann All Services'. These cover the entire Republic of Ireland but not Northern Ireland.
  • Cork Bus Eireann city services combined with Cork Rail tickets.
